repair person tried to charge me $200 for a part that the company that manufacturers the part charges $25.42 for. Amazon also charges the lower amount. He also wanted to charge $200-$300 to replace it. Youtube shows the exact replacement for my door and it took 5 minutes. Very dissatisfied with what took place.

Good afternoon and thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I show that our technician was out there today and did not charge you anything. We have a $79.95 service charge to go out to any property and that front pulley you are referring to we charge $125 to swap out and replace, including the labor, unless the door was hung or the rail was off the wall. You can always buy things for yourself and install them cheaper. We have certified trained technicians that can quickly identify and repair most all issues and can successfully break down rails and properly install them back together while properly adjusting the limits after the install to ensure the garage door works like new. Unfortunately it looks like we are currently our of stock with that item on the south trucks so he provided you with the estimate and then, as previously stated, did not charge you anything. If you have any further issues please do not hesitate to contact our main office and speak with our General Manager at 941-351-2408.

was quoted a price range over the phone to replace two springs for a max of 380, but when chris came he said for standard springs it would be over 700. after this review i'm going on to BBB and file a complaint against your company for the 79 i had to pay to get a estimate. banko is coming out to replace both springs plus other stuff for 335.00. you to me very dishonest.

I had a problem with the battery in my garage door opener. The beep (loud) started last Thursday and would not stop...Called Precision and they stated that they could sent the fixit man out on Sunday during the morning hours...When asked how to turn off the sound, he stated that he could not answer that question. Fixit man came out on Sunday and opened the door to the battery and removed same. Stated that a new one cost $200.00. When asked if I needed it stated NO..It would work without it. Took out and then stated that i owed them. $80.00. I could have done the same thing if I was told about the battery.......Very Disappointed with Precision...Been with you for vey long time....Time to look for new outfit........

Called and came earlier than scheduled. That was the good part. However he would not service the door even though they had in the past. He said it was a commercial door and they no longer were in that business. What a waste of my time. They had all my info from before why wait 5-6 days to NOT SERVICE ME. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Unfortunately your account was incorrectly listed as residential and we do apologize for not servicing commercial garage doors any longer but we would be happy to refer you to Coast Blue Waters Garage and Gate who do service commercial style doors. 941-210-8768

The fat dummy that came to look at my problem was unbelievable. He backed into my driveway and ran over one of my flower beds. Broke thre bricks lining the bed, got out of the van and did not even apologize for doing so. The other dummy with him must have been retarded and did not speak. If these two individuals are examples of your company I want nothing to do with you. I can find people like that on the street.

Very Arrogant. His communication methods are not only poor bout VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. He stats our his sentence by saying "as I told you- even though that would be his first time saying that. He was very fast - as if he just wanted to complete (?) the work and run. Did not lubricate everything. He did lubricate side bushings. Nothing else. VERY VERY poor service.

I heard great things about your company and was pleased with Seth when he came for our estimate. We received an estimate in writing good for 90 days. We called 29 days after his visit only to be told our estimate (good for 90 days) . which we still have in writing is no longer valid and the price increased by $420.00. I am not happy to say the least and will not be moving forward with your company any time soon. This is not good business practice, not to mention, IT IS IN WRITING GOOD FOR 90 DAYS. I believe any attorney would love to handle something like that. I have heard nothing but good things about your company but have to say I am very dissatisfied at how this has been handled.

No star, waited 2 1/2 weeks for a appointment 4-8 pm, sales person shows up at 1:30 pm throws some paper work inside front screened in porch, because he didn’t want to wait for me to get out of work at 3:30 and be home by 4:00 ( my appointment time) that’s not how sell your products , at least not to me

ONE STAR FOR SHOWING UP. Did not hire this company for my garage door opener. Five stars for Door Depot. Great price and much better service.

When I booked the work I was told that the service call would be $49.95 and the spring would cost $225. The technician said I needed 2 springs and that the rollers, the cables and various other components needed replacing. The total cost was $900. A significant increase over the $275 that I was anticipating. Your estimating needs to be improved. Also, the technician said that the work was covered by a 7 year warranty but didn’t mention that it was contingent upon a regular annual maintenance by your company. Very disappointing and very expensive.

I would not even give this company 1 star. A man came to install my garage doors and told me he would not install because my garage was “filthy.” I have been waiting for 3 months for this install and no one gave me instruction that I have to remove my built in cabinets before they could install. Ridiculous. After that he refused to leave and started taking pictures of my garage. DO NOT use this company- horrible customer service.

What a terrible experience. Two technicians were sent and the 'lead' tech had absolutely the worst attitude and unprofessionalism I have ever encountered before. We have done business with Precision many times before but never again...refused the service and was met with threatening disposition from the tech. During a time when establishments like this should be treating customers with respect...you instead great with animosity and sarcasm.

One of the springs broke on our garage door on a Friday. I booked an appointment upon a quote of 101$ to 215.00$ with a 49.95 service fee. No one could come till Monday 12-5. Service man just gave me an estimate of 895$! Then reduced it to 515$! Never will I call them again.

Called for a failure of remotes to activate garage door down. Paid $350 for spraying springs and rollers. DID NOT repair the original problem! VERY VERY UNHAPPY and will never use you again. Ripped off!

Technician was horrible- had someone Else come in and re-do everything. Very inexperienced tech. He called for Help and they told him to leave! Called another company and they Made repair in 45 minutes!
- Janice Irving
I am sorry you felt this way. When the technicians run in to something they aren't comfortable repairing because in our opinion the repair will not help, they will reach out for second opinions to be sure, but in the end our technicians are highly trained and ethical enough to not work on something that repairs will not improve for the long term.

After your service tech was here and looked at the garage door opener he said that he could not get the part needed to repair the opener because your company does not work on over head brand and could not get the part to fix the opener. But he had no problem charging me _49.96 for telling me that. If you're company can only fix what you sell why don't you tell people up front so we don't waist our money on service calls that don't fix the problem. When I contacted your office I told the customer service person what the problem was and was told a service tech can figure out the problem. I sure was ripped off.

Since the spring replacement repairs the garage door opener has failed to open the door. It has power to the outlet and nothing is working, no light, no opening of the door we can only manually open our door since the $650 repair last week! Could the new spring be too strong for the opener to perform?

Brett made a service call today. I paid my bill in full. My garage door is still not staying closed. The problem has not been fixed.

I called and had the springs replaced less than a year ago. Those springs had a one year warranty. Alex did a great job when he installed them. After a few months when the garage door went up is kept falling down about six inches. This caused us to hit the down button twice every time we opened it. I called to have the springs adjusted and was told it might be $49. I agreed. The tech showed up and said it wasn't covered and now would be $79. I agreed. The tech literally spent 2min with 2 quarter turns of a spring and told me the cost was now $129. This was a complete money grab. Probably wont use again. Not a good way to keep a return customer.

Sept 16, 2019 I had service due to a broken spring. The door was not off the track. My car was trapped in the garage. Service arrived promptly. 29 year old door, but in working order 10 minutes before the spring broke. They insisted they had to do EXTENSIVE other repairs to the door in addition to replacing the spring, for roughly $1200, or, purchase a new door. I was not willing to spend that much money on an old door, or commit to a new door without some research. Without a repair or new door sale, they would not open the door to release my car for less than $250. I needed my car the following day, so knowing I was being ripped off, I told them to open the door. The invoice came for $225, still a rip off for nothing but a service call and the 5 minutes it took to open the door. I received an automated E-mail from the owner asking for a review, saying he would like me to call the GM if I were anything but satisfied and give them an opportunity to address the situation. I thought that was far, and placed the call. He listened to most of my story, saying it did not sound right and asked if he could check with the service person before he commented and get back to me. I thought this was fair. That was almost 4 weeks ago and I have not heard from him. I take that to mean this company feels it is ok to charge $225 for nothing but a service call and a simple door open. I would have gone to their showroom to learn and probably purchase a new door, but assumed I would be ripped off there too.

I apologize you feel ripped off. I spoke to the technician that same day and found the door was out of the track. It is a bit dangerous and he had the issue resolved in about 15 minutes because his years of training and work taught him how to complete that process that quickly. He mentioned you declined wanting the parts repaired and he mentioned he could give you a free door estimate. I questioned him about how he presented these options and if he in any way made you feel like you had to make a hard and fast choice at that moment. He said not at all, but nonetheless, if you felt boxed into a decision we apologize. We strive to leave every customer feeling the value in the service provided.

The tchnician was supposed to come between monsoon and 4 pm, that was the time we agreed upon/. He got here earlier, I was not home. He did nothing except charge us $ 49.95 and left. What else do tyou want to know..... NO service was performed......
- Richard Senicola
I'm sorry you feel no service was performed but the technician found no problems with your door. Your technician did a full inspection and made a recommendation of replacing your spring and offered pricing for our spring options and a center bearing, but was told no. We charge a service on every trip and that is stated at the time the appointment is booked. But the technician did what he is trained to- make recommendations and provide an inspection. Sorry you feel you did not receive any value, but should you need service in the future give us a call and we will waive the service call with any repairs done.

I will be telling EVERYONE on Social Media and in the public about the invoice I received for fixing my garage door. It hasn't even been a year since I purchased four garage doors from your company (two 2 car garage doors and 2 single doors) and a screw came out of the ceiling (not sure if it was ever in or put in correctly) and I get charged almost $70 to have it fixed. This is RIDICULOUS!!! Makes me wonder if my other garage doors will have problems. Your service guy had to put TWO screws in because the one came out and didn't stay. I will NEVER use your company again for abusing this... we were told there would be NO charge to come out.

Recently moving to a new home in Florida I had Precision install 2 new garage door openers, job went well. I then hired them replace two garage doors with what they call their BEST hurricane door. After my doors were removed they opened the packaging for their BEST door and I saw the back side being nothing but metal beams. I have never seen a door like this and asked what the problem was they told me it was not insulated so I told them I wanted to change to insulated. The installer called his office and from what I could hear they were yelling at him for having me change my mind. So with my original doors already down I let them install what they had. When I signed my receipt I wrote in the comment section requesting a call, I went to their site and requested a call. Lastly I received an e-mail from Andrew Sell saying "If for any reason you are not totally satisfied, I would consider it a favor if you called and gave me the opportunity to redress the situation." So I replied to his email asking for a call and again no response. Overall the installers were fine but you never get a response back when you have an issue. They just charge your card and move on. Click here to write a review on our website. Well I will write the review knowing it will never make your website. What attracted me to your company? 1. Same day service, but that did not happen. Waited 3 days for service. 2. Price, but not at first. The first price I was given was high, but then your office called me back with a better price so I said yes. 3. Service: You sent me an email to confirm my appointment but the address was all wrong. I mean all wrong. Street name number and city, all wrong so I called back. As soon as the tech arrived he told me the price quoted was wrong. The price doubled back to the original price. The tech apparently had xray vision because he advised me of this even before he saw my broken spring. I should have simply chased him off. Zero stars is what I would give for a rating but that option was not offered! I won’t be calling again. Regards, Gregg Sundeen

I requested maintenance on the garage door and when he did that he did not say that my garage door openers would not work or better yet make sure the garage openers that worked before he did the maintenance would work afterward. Now I will have spent the holidays without a working garage opener and have to wait five days to have him back to fix a problem that should never have been created.

Tech Tom was prompt and very friendly. Was here for 1/2 hr. Biggest rip-off ever. They charge $79 just to show up then charged me for 2 hrs. of labor ($170.00) and $500.00 for 4 safety sensors which cost less than $80 total. Price gouging at its finest!
