The technicians take the time to answer questions and to check the overall condition of the door. John, the technician was in our neighborhood on a service call. We stopped to ask if he could help with a weather strip issue. Once John was done with his service call, he stopped and installed a new weather strip and added a keyless code box for us. Very professional and he cleaned up. Dear Andrew, You employee, Mark, arrived at my home as scheduled even though the weather was about as bad as it gets in this area. Unfortunately, he said he was unable to perform the maintenance/repair as needed on my garage doors because of the high winds pressing against the three doors in question. Upon his departure, he had me pay the contracted $75.00 service fee. He was courteous, knowledgeable, and arrived on time. My question is: When I reschedule to have whatever needs to be done, do I have to pay another $75.00 service call in addition to the normal "parts and labor" costs of repairing/maintainning my garage doors? I live in Missouri and have a vacation home in Venice and recently had guests staying there for their honeymoon. They mentioned to me on a Saturday that the garage door wasn’t functioning properly. I called Precision’s number late that evening just to leave a message and to my surprise a very kind lady answered the phone and within a few minutes told me she would have a technician there by 10 am Monday! When the tech called me Monday morning from the house he diagnosed the issue and explained to me what parts needed immediate replacing to fix the problem and also told me there was considerable wear on the motor and eventually would have to be replaced. He did not try to “sell” me a new unit but rather left that decision up to my judgement. I elected to go ahead and replace the whole motor.
